Pomegranate — Poetry with bits in!

Balloon Lady / The Intersection / Still Traffic

by and published in Edition Seven of Pomegranate

I hold seven of you in my hands now
Four of you have died
Together squinting under the hard light
That does not set until dawn
That shines off the pin in my nose

Number five is breathing out
Losing weight
Becoming opaque
I’ll exhale to give you company

And watch the world rushing by
And watch their lives go rushing by
And try in vain to sell you.
