Pomegranate — Poetry with bits in!

Another Lover’s Complaint

(Love’s Labour’s Lost, won, then dumped in a ditch like a used condom.)

Contraception by psychosis is
The most galling death of rapture;
Nothing shits on our apparent passion
Like a rosary bead and a Hail Mary
Whenever I get my tongue in the groove.
Shriek all you like, I wouldn’t believe
You were capable of enjoying anything
For what it is. Put the mask away
This is code for ‘we’re over’
Consider this my two weeks’ notice
You scatter brained, blog writing moron.

Ben Schwarz is 19 and currently studying English Literature at Newcastle. He doesn’t really have any poetic acheivements and, until about a year ago, had little interest in poetry. He enjoys ranting, and often does this in his writing. Sometimes chocolate makes him sneeze, but he is not allergic to it.
