Edition Ten: Shower
Introduction
It’s crazy weather we’ve been having in this issue of Pomegranate. The theme was SHOWER, but flash floods, golden raindrops and a sunlight-splattered city have all slipped in between the isobars somehow. It’s been worth getting caught short of an umbrella though – we’ve seen the theme turning up in some unexpected places this time.
If the shivery outdoors isn’t your thing, there’s plenty to stay inside for too. We spent a quiet night in watching ‘A Show of Culture’ with Tom Moyser, and we’ve been chatting to one of Romania’s most exciting young poets, Ruxandra Novac.
Meanwhile, we’ve been taking special care over our own ablutions recently. Pomegranate has had a makeover and we scrub up pretty well, we think. You can read all about it on our shiny new blog and in the Pommunist Manifesto, though we’re still working on a rallying song to sing in the shower.
And don’t forget, we’re now accepting submissions for the follow-up to this squeaky clean issue. The theme will be BUST. So go on, do your worst! I mean, bust. Anyway, we can’t wait to hear from you.
